At the recent APPEX GLOBAL 2017 Conference in London, held from 28 February through 2 March 2017, the Faroese Geological Survey attended with a booth and a presentation called “Re-evaluation of the prospectivity on the Faroese Continental Shelf”. We are very grateful for the many visitors at our booth during the Conference showing interest for the upcoming Fourth Faroese Licensing Round, which will open on 17 May 2017.
In her presentation, Óluva R. Eidesgaard, geologist, briefly explained about the ongoing work at the Faroese Geological Survey in the preparation for the upcoming Licensing Round. Part of the work is to re-evaluate all relevant data available on the Faroese Continental Shelf, in order to enhance our understanding of the geological evolution and prospectivity of the area.
Results from this ongoing work will be presented at the FIEC (Faroe Islands Exploration Conference), to be held at the Nordic House in Tórshavn 16-18 May 2017, during which the Fourth Faroese Licensing Round will be formally opened.
