In June 2015 the Fareose Geological Survey (Jarðfeingi) attended the 77th EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers) Conference in Madrid. This was the first time Jarðfeingi attended this Conference and it was done as a part of the marketing of the Faroese Continental Shelf. The EAGE Conference is held every year and was in Vienna in 2016.
Around 6000 visitors attended the Conference this year.
