The Faroese Geological Survey, Jarðfeingi has launched a new webpage, which will make it easier for all interested parties to get an overview of the various activities at the Survey and facilitating access to scientific data and information for the public, oil companies and other costumers. Jarðfeingi also welcomes geological and other questions and will endeavour to respond in a professional and timely manner through its webpage and otherwise.
Our focus at the moment is mostly on the 4th Licensing Round, which will open on 17 May 2017 during the 5th Faroe Islands Exploration Conference (FIEC) and will be hosted by Jarðfeingi during 16 to 18 May 2017. Further information on the licensing round will be available on the front page alongside information on various other projects ongoing at Jarðfeingi at the moment. Jarðfeingi has also created an Instagram profile where it will be possible to follow our geoscientists during their work. The webpage will be accessible in both Faroese and English.
