Since workers in the sub-sea tunnel Skálafjarðartunnilin most likely found warm water during drilling early in May, geologist from Jarðfeingi have been inside the tunnel to do measurements. But due to work in progress, the measurements with e.g. a thermograph have not shown any indications on abnormally warm areas in the searched area. The reason is that the area where the phenomena was first seen, has been covered with water and material from the tunnel. In a year or so the area will be free of water and material and by that time it will hopefully be possible to do further measurements and observations.
